October 26 2018 Show at Elysium!

Dear gawd. What a horrid night. No Wiz… it is not until the person is not there that you realise how important they are to you or your sanity. RL took Wiz away from us this week. It was HIS RL JOB that took him! Imagine that, putting his RL job before SL. He seriously needs to get his priorities straight. Just like Gunner!!No Wiz meant no proper lineup all laid out neat and tidy with the two rows of dashes, each choreographer in their own blocks with their dancers and the song title, all nice and OCD perfect on a notecard. Without Wiz, I had to find out for myself so much information that I usually just copy/paste from his notecards. Like, what song are you dancing to? Who is in your dance? A lot of IMs. And then I had to type out MY OWN notecard all by myself. It didn’t look near as nice as the ones Wiz types.

I had to do the show opening announcements, which I would have completely forgotten had Miss Ame not reminded me… Wiz usually does those. I completely spaced nagging people about their tags, ankle locks, and other protocol, but I think Jilley and Paul took care of that. It’s just… without The Wiz… it was stressful! And I completely missed any hope of getting lashed by his feather duster. Actually, I think it is a feather-tipped crop of some kind. Not sure, just know there’s a handle and feathers.

Gosh Wiz has me spoiled.

COME BACK WIZ!!!! *cries*

Wiz not being here rattled me. It meant I had stuff to do so I was unable to spy and lurk and cause near as much trouble as I usually cause during a show. What was that about idle hands…? Well my hands were not idle tonight, no Sir! I poured myself a bourbon and rolled myself a cigge, only noticing later I had rolled one of my long BROWN NOT GRAY hairs up in the cigge. Screw it. I would just have to smoke it like that, hair and all, which was half dangling out and tickling my wrist as I took a drag off it.

My head hurt!

People were pulling at me, my IM box lit up like Macy’s at Christmas. People had questions, they had comments, they had information, they needed things, they had things to pass to me…. They were all over me! Slow down, slow down!!

COME BACK WIZ!!!!

I staggered downstairs to the dressing rooms to escape the masses. And then I saw something on my dressing table that had not been there during rehearsal. Something that I did not put there.

It was a huge bouquet of long-stem red roses in a crystal vase. Big red roses, not those tiny tight little buds that wilt and die without ever opening. This was sitting on my dressing table with a box of chocolates, a mixed variety, some with nuts and some with cremes, all special and fancy, each in its own delicate brown wax paper tray. I quickly sat down and placed my hands over the chocolates. I then slid the entire box into my lap and, looking around to make sure no one noticed, I slipped them into the top centre drawer of my dressing table and leaned into it, my ample bosom pushing the drawer shut. My secret seemed safe. My heart raced in panic that someone had seen me and would thus demand I share, and I didn’t want to share. I wanted the entire box of chocolates for myself. What if Jilley saw them? She’d prolly steal them when I was onstage, a vile thing to do. There is no excuse for stealing someone’s chocolates. What a low act! Only an equally low person would commit such a crime. I needed to find a better hiding spot.

Looking around frantically, I blinked as I noticed a picture wedged in a big red bow tied around the crystal vase. My brows knitted as I plucked out the picture. It was a closeup of a male torso and arms… biceps… cropped just below the neck. The subject wore no shirt. Just a chest and a bit of pelvis, arms and hands. I studied the biceps, brows knitting in concentration. Hmmm, whose torso was that. It wasn’t Stoke, arms weren’t long enough. It wasn’t Gunner… no teeth marks. It wasn’t Seb… too much meat on the bones. Was that my admirer, the person who had left me these gorgeous flowers and that generous, obviously expensive custom box of chocolates? I arched a brow as my eyes sparkled. I had an admirer! I studied his chest. He had a nice, well-muscled chest and nice biceps, true, but what I really loved was his chest hair. It stirred something primal deep inside the marrow of my soul, and I felt my girly bits awakening with an insistent tingle.

NOTE: Upon re-reading, I see I used that “knitted brows” thingy twice in the last paragraph. That is just sloppy writing. I should change it, but I am too tired, so I am going to just leave it like that as an example of my laziness and low standards.

I sighed deeply, gazing at that picture. I then heard a horrid mooing in my ear that startled me and ripped me out of the warm, velvety place I had been descending into. I spun around, my nose in a snarl and teeth bared. It was Jilley. “What are you doing at my dressing table, cow,” she screeched, stamping the floor like she was going to charge. I thought about tipping her and not in the way she’d enjoy as a dancer, but rather tipping her in a more bovinian manner. Then I focused more fully on my surroundings, my face falling in shock and horror.

“YOUR dressing table?” I cast defiant eyes upon her.

She pointed to her picture on the wall near the table. “Mine! Yours is over there!” She pointed a hoof over to the next cubicle.

I cast my gaze and sure enough… it was true!! I was sitting at JILLEY’S dressing table!! OMG those flowers, the chocolates, that hairy chest were for… HER! SHE had an admirer, not me!! My bottom lip poked out and my chin started to quiver. Bitterly, I dropped the picture of The Chest next to the crystal vase of roses that were not mine.

Jilley looked upon me aghast. “Are you really going to cry? Fine! Sit there. But clean the mirror when you’re through!” She then stamped off, her tail swinging with each shift of her hips. I watched her go, hissing at her departure under my breath.

Then my eyes darkened. I swivelled back towards the mirror. I opened the top centre drawer and slid out that box of chocolates, scurrying them over and stashing them in Wiz’s dressing table. Since he wasn’t here tonight and that would be the last place she’d look, perfect hiding spot! I would sneak back later after the show and claim them, whisk them home and enjoy them ALL MYSELF, whilst finding an excuse to justify my theft! I then took a moment to sneeze on her mirror and not wipe it off.

So I guess the night had a bittersweet ending. She has the roses and crystal vase, she has the admirer, but I got the CHOCOLATES. I think I got the best end of that stick.

Meanwhile! I have decided, being that I am greedy, that I want The Chest as well. Thus, I am asking for help. Please take a close look at this picture. Do you recognise that chest? If so, I am offering a reward that will probably horrify you but amuse me in return for the name of who this chest belongs to. I have decided I want to run my fingernails through this chest hair and run my nose down along that happy trail and see where it leads. So come on, Elysiums, help me to identify Jilley’s admirer! Any leads are appreciated!

AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, here we go, once again we have a tie for tonight’s Golden Tweezers Award! I could not decide which of the following two posts in group chat amused me more, so I picked them both to receive a Golden Tweezer:

[18:37] Jilley: pick up your body parts after the dance pls

[18:37] Cael Szondi: I bet we forgot to hand out the complimentary bags for the audience for their ‘accidents’

CONGRATULATIONS JILLEY (AGAIN!!!!) and CAEL!

Remember, our Golden Tweezer goes to the person who makes the post in group chat that I find the most amusing, outrageous, or something along those lines. Just memorable. Must immortalise it on THE BLOG! I think I should just give Jilley a Lifetime Accomplishment Golden Tweezer Award.

On to what was in the show… soon. First, I just have to say: TRAY!!! OMG!!!!

And again, TRAY!!!! OMG!!!!!

And now. What did the show look like? Let’s fine out. Oh, and Welcome to the weekend!

Bernadette Artist: IAMX

1. Why did you choose this song to create a dance to? What was your inspiration?
I like listening to music I anticipate I won’t like. This artist was one of those. Way too “out there” too “hipster goth” for me. One more time I was wrong. I love the darkness of this song and just had to play with it.

2. What were the particular challenges you dealt with when creating this dance?
As usual, learning more about scripts and textures and just how they interact.

3. What does this dance mean to you? Is it a bit of fun, or is there a deeper meaning?
Oh definitely fun! Never trust crazy except to be crazy.

4. Is there anything you would like others to know about your dance?
Try. Experiment. Don’t be afraid to fail. You just never know what is going to work.

Nightcore male cover of Rihanna’s “Disturbia”

1. Why did you choose this song to create a dance to? What was your inspiration?
I’m not really sure to be honest, I was stuck the first one I built I didn’t like so I pulled it up, then pulled out something from my % a n x i e t y (yes plug for them cause Joseph and Josh are awesome) and it started falling together.

2. What were the particular challenges you dealt with when creating this dance?
Too many ideas in my head…

3. What does this dance mean to you? Is it a bit of fun, or is there a deeper meaning?
Its a bit of fun but also a look inside my head when I have too many ideas and can’t get them all out.

4. Is there anything you would like others to know about your dance?
I’ve never seen Dexter so it wasn’t based off him, it just came out of my head onto the blank template canvas.

Paint it Black by Ciara

1. Why did you choose this song to create a dance to? What was your inspiration?
I originally created this set for the Dance Queens Texture Challenge, where I was given a texture and I had to create a set around it, so that was a lot of fun to do.

2. What were the particular challenges you dealt with when creating this dance?
Well, I did have an issue with the summoning circle part of my stage, when I came to link it together it wasn’t allowing me to copy, luckily after some investigation I figured it out and usually turns out to be a script of some kind!

3. What does this dance mean to you? Is it a bit of fun, or is there a deeper meaning?
This dance was a fun challenge and once I got the texture, things started coming together. Besides, who doesn’t have fun dancing with some sexy witches?

4. Is there anything you would like others to know about your dance?
Check out Babypea’s ass when she shakes it! I fear it has been neglected lately so this dance showcases the beauty of the ass! Enjoy!

Under my skin by Frank Sinatra

1. Why did you choose this song to create a dance to? What was your inspiration?
I have a friend in SL that is an amazing photographer and she did a picture with these skins. I have always loved that photo so I did a dance based on her vision. Then when Paul asked me to do a Macabre style set, this whole idea came together. Under My Skin by Sinatra….so wrong and yet so right.

2. What were the particular challenges you dealt with when creating this dance?
The costumes kept sticking to us, no skin and all….it was messy and painful at times but you do what you can for your art, right?

3. What does this dance mean to you? Is it a bit of fun, or is there a deeper meaning?
It’s a little peek into my demented humor.

Michael Jackson – Thriller

1. Why did you choose this song to create a dance to? What was your inspiration?
Michael Jackson’s Thriller has always been a favorite song for the Halloween time of year. It’s scary/creepy, yet has a great beat and is very fun to dance and listen to.

2. What were the particular challenges you dealt with when creating this dance?
This was a complicated set because of all of the features to make it scary, plus a lot of scripts for making the clouds and fog on the ground. Creating the movement for 11 dancers, making sure that no one hit a prop or another dancer took some work, but the outcome was cool.

3. What does this dance mean to you? Is it a bit of fun, or is there a deeper meaning?
It’s a fun dance for Halloween. We asked each dancer (11 total) to pick their own costume; it gives everyone the opportunity to express themselves in their own fun way. It gives us all a chance to “dress up” for Halloween.

4. Is there anything you would like others to know about your dance?
It was a fun routine to create and share with my friends and the visitors of The Empire Room.

Dark Sarah – Dance With the Dragon

1. Why did you choose this song to create a dance to? What was your inspiration?
I found this song a long time ago and have had it on my bucket list for probably two years. It is macabre and therefore this show, themed macabre, seemed a perfect time to do it.

2. What were the particular challenges you dealt with when creating this dance?
Trying to find old ‘destroyed’ toys. They are in short supply in SL.

3. What does this dance mean to you? Is it a bit of fun, or is there a deeper meaning?
It is about a pretty dancer wanting to escape the box of toys she is trapped in, and there is a clown who will not let her go. She wants out of the box and wants her freedom, but he wants to keep her as his ragdoll. She does care about him and is attracted to him. It is a bit of a mess. It feels haunted to me.

4. Is there anything you would like others to know about your dance?
I was inspired for this set by an episode of The Twilight Zone that I saw when I was a kid. It really freaked me out. The episode was called, “Five Characters in Search of an Exit” and is episode 79 of the television anthology series The Twilight Zone. It haunted me so bad, I never forgot it, and as an adult with thanks to Google, I was able to track it down. It was about these people trapped in a tall metal round room. And they kept trying to get out. When the one finally made it out by them all forming a human ladder and him climbing, he fell out of the room and into the snow, where he promptly turned into a doll. It was just freaky.

“Clown, hobo, ballet dancer, bagpiper, and an army major—a collection of question marks. Five improbable entities stuck together into a pit of darkness. No logic, no reason, no explanation; just a prolonged nightmare in which fear, loneliness, and the unexplainable walk hand in hand through the shadows. In a moment, we’ll start collecting clues as to the whys, the whats, and the wheres. We will not end the nightmare, we’ll only explain it—because this is the Twilight Zone.”

“Just a barrel, a dark depository where are kept the counterfeit, make-believe pieces of plaster and cloth, wrought in a distorted image of human life. But this added hopeful note: perhaps they are unloved only for the moment. In the arms of children, there can be nothing but love. A clown, a tramp, a bagpipe player, a ballet dancer, and a Major. Tonight’s cast of players on the odd stage—known as—The Twilight Zone.”

A Look at the October 19th Show

It was Friday night and I was sitting at my dressing table, dimly aware of the scurrying going on around me. Dancers were in their usual pre-show buzz, laughing and chatting as they pulled costumes out of closets and off hangers, digging through trunks for props, stretching out to warm up those sinewy muscles, and leaning into mirrors as they powdered their hot spots. Corri was spinning some fine tunes, getting the arriving audience bouncing for the show. I had my tube of black eye-liner and focused on my right eye, opening my mouth as I ran the slick tip of the liner across the underside of my lower lashes. Why do we open our mouths when we put on mascara and eye liner? Have you ever tried keeping your mouth shut when applying makeup to your eyes? It can’t be done, not comfortably, and never looks as good.

I always saw a lot reflected in my mirror. I saw Jilley stuffing her bra so that she could appear to have boobs as big as mine. And Web pulling on padded undies so her ass looked as shapely as mine. There was Paul pouring a scotch, and Hailie plucking hairs out of Ant’s ears with a pair of tweezers. I noticed Wiz chasing Lina with a measuring tape and a pair of scissors. My gaze dropped to the ankle locks, sitting on my dressing table. I had not applied them yet. I had been thinking that it might be

STOKE!

I caught his reflection in my mirror as he was passing by. I turned my head to allow my shadowed gaze to glide slowly over the bulges on his upper arms. I squeezed them with my eyes, biting them delicately, dragging his firm flesh between the teeth of my lusty imagination.

Like Cannon’s thong and Seb’s blue ribbon, Stoke’s biceps had become one of my fascinations. Surely you saw the movie “Up” and remember that dog every time he saw a squirrel. No matter what he was doing or saying or thinking, a squirrel was instant distraction so consuming that he’d completely forget all else. Well, that is me and Stoke’s biceps.

What sets his biceps apart? I marvelled as I wiped a bit of drool from the corner of my mouth with the back of Kelly’s hand. His shoulders are wide, keeping his arms a goodly ways from his body so nothing is there to interfere with the bulges. His arms are long, lots of hang and plenty of room for biceps to make their presence known. And they have just enough mass without being over-the-top practical joke big. They were just right. I began to ponder a way to set a trap to capture his biceps. Wasn’t sure what I’d do with them once I got them, probably not appropriate to speak of such things here. Hmmmm. Not much a person could do with biceps-only, would probably need the rest of the arms and hands and fingers to really do something. And thumbs always proved useful. A massage would be nice. But since I am not a fan of dismemberment, I suppose I’d be having to have the rest of him as well.

Me having all of Stoke is just not an option. Pretty sure that would go over like a led zeppelin with Gunner and Lina. So I suppose looking and drooling would have to suffice.

For this lifetime.

But there is always the next life to look forward to! Then those biceps are MINE!

Meanwhile, I think I will write a book: 101 Uses for a Bicep

In fact, I will start a contest. Comment with YOUR IDEA for the best use for a bicep. I will select the one I find most appealing to win a prize that will most likely mortify them but amuse me.

What was I doing? Oh. Yes. Ankle locks. And, by the way,
WELCOME TO THE WEEKEND!!
What happened at the show? Let’s find out!

BUT FIRST! Tonight’s winner of the Golden Tweezer Award! This is given to the person who makes the most memorable post in group chat during the show. Or the most outrageous or the most amusing… something like that. Here is where we memorialise those posts. Tonight it was especially difficult to pick just one. Tonight’s Golden Tweezer goes to:

PAUL!!!!

For this, LMAO:
[17:39] Paul Woodrunner: ok all if your not grab assing you can cache your sets and check your tags

CONGRATULATIONS PAUL!

1. Why did you choose this song to create a dance to? What was your inspiration?
I really enjoy burlesque and am also a dancer with Burlesque Dolls, so finding the right music to go with that sort of act is not easy to do. I listen to numerous songs before deciding on a particular one that hits the right notes. Liking this song I was able to proceed. (Boyonce ‘Partition’)

2. What were the particular challenges you dealt with when creating this dance?
Believe it or not, the timing of removing clothing. Lol . You cannot take things off willey nilley, has to be reasons why suddenly your garments vanish, maybe words or, with me, a certain part of an animation.

3. Is there anything you would like others to know about your dance?
Hope it did not steam up too many glasses. *winks* and you enjoyed my little ‘tease’.

I hear this song and right away I could see the dance in my mind and when that happens I know it will be a good solid performance.

2. What were the particular challenges you dealt with when creating this dance?
No everything in this one was easy and smooth.

3. What does this dance mean to you? Is it a bit of fun, or is there a deeper meaning?
That no matter what happens we rise or we go down together.

4. Is there anything you would like others to know about your dance?
Actually Kyser wanted this as our anniversary dance but to me it just was not romantic so I wee created another for our anniversary and kept this for Halloween Theme.

Taema and Kyser just celebrated their seventh anniversary in SL! Congratulations Taema and Kyser, that is like 70 RL years!

1. Why did you choose this song to create a dance to? What was your inspiration?
I have been wanting to do a prince set and thought just do it.

2. What were the particular challenges you dealt with when creating this dance?
Well originally I had 4 elevators and 2 dance balls in each one. and they were all working…I came home the next day and I guess SL had a bug or something because what you saw in the set was all that was working. This was my first crowd dance to make something move..

3. What does this dance mean to you? Is it a bit of fun, or is there a deeper meaning?
Honestly Prince’s music was an escape for me when I was growing up, and it still is.

4. Is there anything you would like others to know about your dance?
It’s Prince, not much else to say…

A Look Back at Elysium’s October 12th Show

Ahhhhhhh, another weekend! It was Friday. And I always get very excited on Fridays. It’s SHOWTIME! But for some reason, I was feeling out of sorts tonight.

I arrived late and meandered backstage. I was feeling rather cantankerous. *pauses to look up ‘cantankerous’ and sees that yes, that’s the right word* I took my usual position, amongst the crabs and pancakes, and assumed a rather boring pose, hoping to not be noticed. I was still half asleep and didn’t want to talk to anyone.

I could hear Paul and Jilley greeting our guests, frams… friends and family… who were coming from all over the grid to help us welcome in the weekend. Corri was warming everyone up with her great tunes. There was the static of anticipation hanging heavily in the air with dancers stretching out, giggling and laughing as they adjusted costumes and put on their makeup. And then I saw Him. Looking all long and lean, muscled and super sexy, swaggering back and forth, patrolling the backstage menagerie. My heart skipped a beat as I noticed his ardent gaze fall upon me. I tingled a little and my tummy tightened, seeing him purposefully striding towards me. He had finally noticed me! I didn’t know why, but whatever the reason, I was grateful. He was usually too busy to pay me any mind.

I raised my eyes to greet his approach, my chest rising and falling in suspense as my heart beat in my ears. He then stood before me and our eyes locked. I needed to fan myself, but I was afraid to move least I break the spell of this moment. It was…

The Wiz.

My lips parted and I ran my pink tongue across them, wetting them as I awaited his assertion. He did not hesitate but got right down to business. “Babypea, you are wearing the wrong tag. Can you please change to Elysium tag?” I always found it annoying how easily The Wiz seemed to not notice my sexiness. I had always wondered HOW to get his attention. Finally, the mystery was solved.

My replete pink lips parted more and I tilted my head back slightly, my hungry gaze dancing through the depths of his eyes. My reply was simple and breathy. “No.”

He looked shocked, his eyes flashing wide open. He blinked. “No?” At long last, I had his attention! “You can’t say no. You must change your tag to the Elysium tag!”

I raised a hand and ran it through my hair as though trying to smooth out delirium. “I don’t want to,” I explained in a sweetened, little-girl-lost tone.

He frowned. His posture stiffened. Not exactly the part I was hoping would stiffen, but it was a start. “May I ask why you don’t want to?”

I rolled my eyes around, glancing to the ceiling and back. “I just don’t feel like it.”

“Well this is unacceptable. You can’t go on stage like that.” He then grabbed my arm and spun me around, pushing me against the wall. My palms held my balance against the cold hard wood of the polished surface as he pulled my hips towards him, pushing down on my back and kicking my legs apart. My heart pounded in trepidation as adrenaline pumped through my veins. I peeked back and saw him whip out his feather duster.

“You have left me no choice. I cannot abide this insubordination,” he announced. And then he raised his arm and lashed me with that feather duster!

I cried out, feeling the soft downy tendrils stroking the skin on my backstage. “AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!” He lashed me again and then a third time, my fine firm buttocks tensing for each impending strike. “YES YES,” I sang, “LASH ME! I am such a bad girl, punish me!”

He then yanked me back around to face him. “I am busy! I have other dancers to check on. As a co-owner of this troupe, you are required to set an example, so change your damn tag, now!”

I trembled under his authority. “Yes Sir, right away!” I smiled weakly as my eyes watched him stomp off. “Thank you, Sir,” I called. I felt so warm and alive, every cell in my body turned on its side and shivering in satisfaction. I changed my tag to Elysium and pondered my next plot to gain more of his consideration. Perhaps next week, I’d neglect wearing ankle locks! That would surely earn me more time under The Wiz’s tutelage. And maybe even more discipline if I was ornery enough.

Oh what a show!! What a night!! A night to remember. SL was being difficult, lots of lag but with teamwork, we put on a great show, plus got pictures of all the acts. Special thanks to Miss Ame for DJing the rehearsal for us. And here is a peek of how the show looked.

But first! Our Golden Tweezer Award to the person who made the “Post of the Night” in group chat! Oh our group chat is lively and full of fun, and here is where we memorialise some of the best tidbits. Tonight’s award goes to:

Thunder – Imagine Dragons

1. Why did you choose this song to create a dance to? What was your inspiration?
I love Imagine Dragons and the video is very unique.

2. What were the particular challenges you dealt with when creating this dance?
What I liked about the video was the dancing vignettes of alien-like creatures, but they are only on screen for a very short time. So I needed to come up with a scenario where their vignettes lasted longer.

3. What does this dance mean to you? Is it a bit of fun, or is there a deeper meaning?
Its all fun!

4. Is there anything you would like others to know about your dance?
Creating the vignettes and deciding on the costumes took ten times more time than the choreo.

1. Why did you choose this song to create a dance to? What was your inspiration?
Well, I had this song I wanted to do. It is Asian and I think it is Chinese. It is an AWESOME song. Web calls it the Mosquito song. I LOVE IT! She doesn’t. But, I told her to build a cyberpunk Asian style set for this song. I gave her some pics and told her I wanted depth, I wanted us to be dancing down the street in an Asian cyberpunk city. Then I turned her loose and she built Tokyo. So I had to change my song, and use a Japanese one instead. It’s actually two Japanese songs edited together, Perfect Human by Radio Fish and One Time One Life by Exile Tribe the Second. I love the energy of this music, it is J Pop and it KICKS! I also still am doing the Chinese song. It is on the agenda to be performed in four weeks and it is well um a bit different *snorts* and I LOVE IT!!

2. What were the particular challenges you dealt with when creating this dance?
Trying to get the timing right with the cyber choppers that fly in with three of the dancers. Two were perfect but one, even though everything was the same … height, timing, and so forth… one of the choppers was not flying in properly. The dancer riding it kept sinking into it and then back out. I have no idea why, it is the same as the first two, and they had no issues. It was very frustrating. I don’t like it when things don’t make sense.

3. What does this dance mean to you? Is it a bit of fun, or is there a deeper meaning?
It is heaps of fun, really neato costumes that are super fun to wear, and very cool animations. The set is epic and I just love everything about this dance. Creating it was very fulfilling.

4. Is there anything you would like others to know about your dance?
Well, Web built the set, and isn’t it fantastic?! We had a lot of fun making this dance. Also, I think the guys in Exile Tribe are so sexy. I would stalk them if I was younger. All of them. Hard to pick just one. These darn kids who sing and dance in RL are amazing! The costumes in this dance were a nightmare, a lot of fiddling. Dear and I were not pleased with the fiddling, but they look great. We are badass geriatric divas! HA!

Thanks to Elayn for the above photo.

A Look Back at Elysium’s October 5th 2018 Show

I have changed my mind. I had a story to tell for this post, but I haven’t typed it up yet, it is in my head, and by now I think I will save it for next week. Just got too busy this week. Too much RL! So here is a look back at last Friday’s show, with thanks to Paul and Jilley for hosting, Wiz for the lashes, and Corri for the DJing with a special thanks to Miss Ame as well for DJing rehearsal. A big thanks to our wonderful audience for coming out and supporting our shows! AND of COURSE the Golden Tweezer Award for the group ‘Post of the Night,’ which again was a tie. Just could not pick between these two gems:

[17:41] corroded Battery: thinking we need to put some chicken wire around the dj stand

I agree!!!!

And doesn’t this next post make you wonder?
[19:14] Jilley: Im wondering who all the bodies are under Pea
I will never tell!!!! But the bigger question is, were the bodies alive or…. O.O and under me how exactly? I mean, there is more than one way to be under someone. If I had my druthers, it would be the entire cast of Men in Motion under me and definitely ALIVE.

*cackles*

Congratulations Corri and Jilley on winning a Golden Tweezer! Brand new, pure gold, and never been in Gunner’s ears. Now how about some pictures of the show!

Empire Cast – Born to Win (Audio) ft. Jussie Smollett

1. Why did you choose this song to create a dance to? What was your inspiration?
Myself, my life, anything can get you down but it is all in how you choose to handle it if it will get you down or make you stand tall.

2. What were the particular challenges you dealt with when creating this dance?
Certain parts of the song the beats changed so getting animations to match it. I may redo them one day.

3. What does this dance mean to you? Is it a bit of fun, or is there a deeper meaning?
Its a song of strength.

4. Is there anything you would like others to know about your dance?
When you think there is no hope no reason, remember you were born for a reason, get through it and be it tomorrow or maybe even next year the wounds of life become scars and lessons that only help you grow in life..never give up. There is always someone that can help you, someone to talk to you may feel alone but, you’re not.

Dear
TobyMac — I Just Need U

1. Why did you choose this song to create a dance to? What was your inspiration?
The words and the beat. I chose this song because it is different from the “soft, fluffy” stuff I usually do. To add variety to my dance.

2. What were the particular challenges you dealt with when creating this dance?
Making the the animations on my jump work with the starting of the dance.
I am trying to give people a variety and challenge myself to come out of my “box” some.

3. What does this dance mean to you? Is it a bit of fun, or is there a deeper meaning?
This song is a good message and out of my usual box a bit. It makes me happy to listen to and was fun to create. This was fun and different and the hardest part was coming up with the build.
