Elysium Cabaret’s Steampunk Show of July 26th 2019

It was Friday night and that meant, it was ELYSIUM CABARET! In The Empire Room at Copperhead Road! And, it was the last Friday of the month, which means theme night. Tonight, we went STEAMPUNK! DJ Gunner made the music happen as Paul and Jilley welcomed guests, The Wiz backstage organising busy details… what a night it was! 1. Why did you choose this song to create a dance to? What was your inspiration?
The theme was steampunk I LOVE steampunk. And the song was just fun to dance to.

2. What were the particular challenges you dealt with when creating this dance?
Just the timing of when to lower myself to be dancing with the others. And the timing of the 2 girls walking down the steps.

3. Is there anything you would like others to know about your dance?
EVERYONE LOVES STEAMPUNK!!!!!

Elysium Cabaret’s Show of July 19th 2019

We had a fabulous night at Elysium Cabaret in The Empire Room on Copperhead Road! Paul has gone to great lengths to cut scripts on the sim and reduced the amount of people allowed on the sim, to cut lag. It appears to be working, the show flowed so smoothly. And what incredible acts we had! So much emotion, feelings, and creativity. The dedication of Elysium choreographers is exemplary. Quality, detailed sets, beautiful costumes, tight choreography and mover work, and songs that move us or touch our hearts, this show was performance perfection. Let’s take a look at what Elysium imaginations presented, with thanks to our creators and their dancers, thanks to our staff, and thanks to our audience. We appreciate all who contribute to our shows on every level, whether they are on the stage, backstage, or in the audience.

1. Why did you choose this song to create a dance to? What was your inspiration?
Everyone knows I love ballet and when I found this on youtube I had to do it.

2. What were the particular challenges you dealt with when creating this dance?
There is a lot of stop and go dancing in the hip hop part of the original ballet piece but much as I tried I couldn’t get that to work.

3. What does this dance mean to you? Is it a bit of fun, or is there a deeper meaning?
I think it is kinda special for me and I got to wear this fabulous gacha Swan Lake costume that I’ve had for ages

4. Is there anything you would like others to know about your dance?
I hope everyone enjoys it, I know it is very different from the usual dances we do.

Elysium’s July 5th 2019 Show

It was Friday night, and Friday means it’s Elysium Cabaret! Friends and family gathered, also got to meet some new faces as we welcomed another weekend Elysium-style… with great acts created by talented, dedicated performers and danced with passion on stage in The Empire Room at Copperhead Road. Paul has been working hard and making sacrifices to try to get scripts on the sim down, and it really paid off with a show that was smooth as cream. A heap of fun was had by all as we enjoyed an eclectic mix of music, quality sets, and dynamic choreo. Thank you to all who participated, either on the stage, backstage, or in the audience!
