WOW what a caeltastic show! Tonight’s show was our monthly theme show, and the theme this month was:
Harmony in the Rainbow
*The Yin and Yang on a black and white scale * Imagine the colours black and white as book ends, with all the colours between all in harmony and in tune. Look back at a movie like the Wizard of Oz, starting in black and white but turning to colour. Or Schindler’s List, a black and white movie but there is a little girl walking with a red coat on. Or an old black and white movie with a little girl selling red apples. The world is full of colour. Let us be the yin and yang of colour. There is Harmony in the rainbow.
Oh, and there is a new word… a superlative, if you will: Cael. Like, if you are tired of saying cool, you can say cael. If you really love a set, you can call it caelistic. Or caeltastic. Caelitious, supercaelifragilisticaelexpialidocious, etc. Anything Cael. Don’t try to fight it. Just accept it. Trust me, it’s GOOD for you! Whoa… it’s CAEL for you!
Leaving some love here for Eva with huge thanks for DJing while the Gman has been recovering from surgery. The Gman should be back next week. Eva, you are the caelest! And I love you!
How about some pics? Let’s see how each choreographer interpreted the theme!

WOW what a show that was! A defining show of the talent and vision of Elysium choreographers… every set utterly detailed, beautiful, fascinating… fantastic costumes and tight choreography to wonderful songs! One stellar act right after another, each one a gifted visit to the creative imagination of a complex soul. I would love to see this entire show again. Thank you to our choreographers and dancers for taking us on this journey. And thank you to Paul, Morganna, and Wiz for all the behind the scenes work. An especially huge thanks to Miss Eva who has been so superbly DJing our shows since Gunner had his surgery! What a joy you are, your positive and uplifting spirit is so apparent in your voice, and it is so infectious, the joy is contagious! Something GOOD to catch… no masks needed! I was feeling very blah but this show really picked me up. And Gunner is stronger every day… finally given the green light to drive again in RL and he DJed the after party which was attended by cherished friends and family. I want to also give a big shout out and huge thanks to our audience, you are as much a part of our shows as the dancers. Without you, it would not be near as exciting. We do so enjoy sharing our performances with you!
We did have one incident during the show that was rather disturbing. It appears Bernie Sanders has found us and has been stalking not only our dancers, but our audience as well. We have documented evidence of these silent assaults. Security was alerted but since Mr. Sanders merely lurked and did not physically attack anyone or try to snatch any panties, all we can do at this point is keep him under surveillance.
Ness… always beautiful and this time, super sexy and exquisite!I want those costumes!

Welcome to the weekend! And what a beautiful weekend it is. Absolutely gorgeous here in Australia, well in my part of Australia… sunshine, a light breeze, and a perfect temperature, not hot but not cold… just right! No good reason to be indoors on a day like today other than a SHOW in The Empire Room at Copperhead Road… where the imaginative performers of Elysium Cabaret take to the Big Stage and share their creative visions with those blessed to be able to come and participate in this visionary exchange of energy. Much appreciation to our talented choreographers and dedicated dancers plus Paul, Morganna, Wiz, and Eva for all their hard work behind the scenes and allegiance to performance in Second Life. A huge thanks to our audience for bringing their warmth and vitality to further enhance the spirit and fun of Elysium shows. Thank you for sharing your energy with us!
In a medium where we are only limited by our imaginations, Elysium Cabaret has always strove to be a place where people are free to express themselves through dance. We have placed few limits on the creative spirit, we have few rules, and have fought to defend creative freedom for performers on our stage. I remain painfully aware of the divas, those that weigh and measure the creative spirit, that point and judge the offerings made by the creative brave. The ones who think they are ‘the best’ and thereby contaminate the very medium they delude themselves into believing they rule. It can be disheartening, even eye-rolling with a deep sigh as some of us back away slowly then run screaming for the nearest zen garden of dance spirit to remind ourselves WHY we are here and WHY we dance. Is that not important? Perhaps most important? Feel free to leave your opinions and thoughts in the comments.
I just want to reiterate that which I have said repeatedly over the years: I dance for fun. Being a star in SL is a joke. That does not make you a big fish in a small pond, that makes you a big amoeba in a small drop of water. At the end of the day, no one knows, no one cares, and it won’t change your real life one iota. That is my point of view. SL dance can be art, it can be entertainment, it can be a source of healing, it can be simple love of musical expression… but it does not HAVE to be any of those things. It CAN simply be a bit of fun, a way to socialize with kindred spirits and like-minded lovers of music and movement. YOU do what YOU want in YOUR dance. You create what feels good to you and makes you feel happy. And other people are free to do the same in their dances. All welcome and room for all! It’s about fulfilment, nurturing the soul, and not all souls are hungry for the same fuel.
Speaking of fun with kindred spirits, let’s take a look at pics from tonight’s show, with thanks to the Notorious R, who was generously handing out cobs of corn before the show!
R Dismantled: hello, flappy person. would you like some corn?
The Dismantled One was also dishing out some pre-show entertainment to unsuspecting guests:
R Dismantled: the elusive and deadly R. conceals herself among her unsuspecting prey…
Now let’s take a look at some pictures of a variety of dance performances that made for a wonderful show and a super smooth, FUN night from Elysium Cabaret!

I am sure no one noticed, but I have been taking a break from the blog and well from just about everything in Second Life. I suppose it is coming up on time to get back on track. I’ve been very distracted by RL and been enjoying focusing solely on my RL. But the show goes on so I best get back to work, blogging our shows and doing promos! And yes, I had a nice Christmas, tried to keep it simple, still got exhausted by it. Have to find a way to simplify it for next year. Well, this year.
Meanwhile, Elysium had it’s 8-Year Anniversary, went dark for Christmas, and welcomed the New Year in style. And now here we are, family and friends, special guests… having fun with music and dance on the Big Stage in The Empire Room on Copperhead Road. With thanks to Paul and Morganna and Wiz for all the behind the scenes hard work, and a huge thanks to Eva Harley for covering as DJ for Gunner as he recovers from open heart surgery. We do enjoy Eva’s bubbly energy and enthusiasm!
Meanwhile, a suspicious tented figure was surveying the backstage before the show. Was it a spy? A beachcomber? A streaker? Who remembers streaking?! Good times! Security was on full alert, keeping eyes on the tented target which tried to blend in with the dancers waiting to perform. Authorities suspect it was none other than the Notorious R in disguise! What diabolical schemes could she be plotting?!?
With thanks to the talented choreographers who share their visions with us, and the dedicated dancers who help complete these presentations. And a huge thanks to our cherished audience, those for whom we perform and seek to touch and entertain with our creations.
