Elysium Celebrates Black History Month, Friday February 25th, 2022

In the United States, February is the month chosen to honor the contributions and legacies of Black Americans of African Americans across U.S. history from activists and civil rights pioneers to leaders in industry, politics, science, culture, and the Arts. Here at The Empire Room, we wished to bring our own tribute through the incredibly creative and talented Elysium Cabaret. It was a wonderful show and let us look into an incredible past and future. Thank you to all that shared with us those special moments in time!

Paul, Jon Baptiste could not ask for a better tribute than the one you danced for him here. There was nothing i don’t love about this..the set the choreo the vision..just so well put together! I hope he gets to see a video of this performance..!

Friday, February 25th is Elysium’s monthly theme show. This month, the theme of our show is Black History Month. This show will tribute black history through song and dance, with performances created especially for this themed show. President Gerald Ford officially recognized Black History Month in 1976, calling upon the public to “seize the opportunity to honor the too-often neglected accomplishments of Black Americans in every area of endeavor throughout our history.” Today, Black History Month is a time to honor the contributions and legacy of African Americans across U.S. history and society.

If it’s Friday, it’s Elysium Cabaret! Fancy some imagination in a fun social setting? In The Empire Room at Copperhead Road, every Friday at 6pm SLT, the dynamic performers of Elysium Cabaret take the stage to bring you a solid hour of entertainment! Featuring elaborate sets, stunning costumes and choreography sequenced to an eclectic genre of music, Elysium Cabaret offers something for everyone.

Another great show as the Elysium Cabaret arrived at the Empire Room Friday night..my apologies that this blog is so late! Its been a seriously crazy week and my mind was numb but I didn’t forget hahaha..I love being able to write and share with all of you. As a variety show. the performances at The Empire Room are all so incredibly different and unique but each brings us such a great gift. Friday’s show was just delightful! There was a hint of Valentine’s Day in the air and The Elysium Cabaret brought it to life with their brilliant creative minds! Elysium Cabaret Friday, February 4th, 2022 Show

News of the death of the Music Legend we all knew as Meatloaf led to an outpouring of grief around the world. Meat Loaf was one of the most iconic voices in the rock music world. His career lasted decades but his incredible and powerful music is timeless. This week The Elysium Cabaret and all of us here at The Empire Room remembered him through incredible dance performances to a few favorite songs, followed by a magical trip back in time as Eva took the stage for her crowd Meatloaf medley and then DJ Gunner filled our After hour with all of our favorite Meatloaf tunes. Meatloaf is gone, but he will never be forgotten. Long Live on this celebrated voice of Rock ‘n’ Roll!!!!

Honoring the Legendary Meatloaf

The world was saddened to have lost a legendary performer on January 20th, 2022 when Michael Lee Aday, better known as Meatloaf, left us due to complications from Covid. On Friday, February the 4th, Elysium will honor him with performances to a few of his most-loved songs. Afterwards, we will feature a Meatloaf-a-thon party with open dancing and everyone welcome. Please join us in paying a loving tribute to our beloved Meatloaf. We are so grateful to him for all the epic ballads and anthems he gifted us with. Bring friends! Starts at 6pm SLT.
